Meet the Coaches
Stephanie Rendon
Stephanie is a native of Midland, Tx. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, where she played volleyball and softball all 4 years. The utility player was a 4x All- District varsity letterman for the Rebels. She represented the Midland Rebels at the TGCA game and was 1 out of 50 most talented HS Seniors to compete at the All- Star game in Austin, Tx. Upon graduating, Stephanie received an academic and athletic scholarship to continue her education at Lubbock Christian University. She was a 3x All Conference player for the Chaps. The Chaps were 4x conference champions, attended the National Championship tournament each year; placing 3rd in her final year. Stephanie helped the Lady Chaps to an overall record of 223-37. Upon receiving a Bachelor's degree in Biology from LCU, Stephanie briefly volunteered with the softball team at Odessa College; where she soon found that her passion is to coach. She coached volleyball for 7 years and is currently going on her 8th year of coaching softball & teaching biology at Midland High. Stephanie has 23 years of playing experience and her passion for the game is evident as she continues to play. She is a 3x selection of Team Texas and currently plays professional slow-pitch for Team 24; based out of Florida. Stephanie had the privilege to join Team 24 in 2021; where they won the Major World Series for the 4th consecutive time. They will compete to be the best team in the country for the 5th consecutive time in Viera, FL this September.
Alex Rendon
Alex is a native of Midland, Tx. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, where he played football and baseball. Alex was an All district varsity letterman and received the Fighting Rebel Award for the Rebels. Upon graduating, Alex attended Midland College Fire Academy and continued his passion for the competitive and intense nature of the sport, playing semi-professional and arena football. Alex then worked his way up in the oil industry and has never looked back. Alex and his wife Kassie have 3 beautiful children. When Alex is not working long hours, you can find him enjoying video games with his sister Bryanna, working out or at the softball fields. Alex has 25+ years of experience playing baseball and has continued his passion by playing slow-pitch softball. He is developing a passion for coaching through his oldest daughter, Payzlee and hopes to coach his other children when they become of age. Unlike his sister Stephanie, Alex is a lefty and will be a great addition to the STS program.
